At Into the Blue – Boat Rental, we are continuing to closely monitor the unfolding outbreak of Coronavirus in Greece. The situation is changeable. We hope that the information below will help you make an informed decision on your travel plans.

What’s happening on the ground in Greece?
On Saturday 15th 2020, the Greek government took the precautionary step of temporarily closing all seasonal accommodation tourist units in Greece until April 30, in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). To see the ministerial decision (in Greek), press here.
Will the other 2020 Into the Blue – Boat Rental run?
Yes. We are hopeful that the outbreak will remain isolated. Rest assured that we are planning to run all of our scheduled boat rental and other outdoor activities as planned, from May 1, 2020, onwards.
Our standard boat rental terms and conditions apply to all scheduled departures.
Our Commitment To Our Guests
Above all, Into the Blue – Boat Rental is committed to the health and safety of our guests.
Because we only operate with a limited number of guests, we will be able to incorporate regular cleaning and sanitizing into our daily routine. Each of our team members will be equipped with hand sanitizers for guest use, disposable paper towels for single-use, as well as all of the latest emergency contact details.
Our health services in Greece are committed to promoting good practices to limit the spread of the virus. They have been proactive in educating people in good personal hygiene to good effect so far.
Deferring your Trip
Deferring your tour means that you will get to enjoy the full Into the Blue – Boat Rental experience at another time. This is a popular option for our guests. We understand that most airlines are offering deferral at no additional costs.
We encourage guests who plan to defer their boat rental experience to get in touch as soon as possible, as available dates in the 2020 season could be booking up fast. Please note that the terms and conditions in effect at the time of your new departure date will apply.
Canceling Your Boat Rental
We understand that it may be necessary for some of our guests to cancel their boat rental experience so we have put in place changes to our cancellation policy in light of the current situation.
Updated Cancellation Policy: 5 days before it starts for a full refund, with no refunds after that
Best Travel Practices
We advise all people traveling anywhere to have full travel insurance that will cover medical expenses, travel costs, and cancellation fees. We could, of course, assist in producing any required documentation as required for an insurance claim.
Moreover, we advise checking with your insurance company if they have a Government Travel Advice Benefit (or similar) which you can add to your policy.
In addition, Into the Blue – Boat Rental suggests that guests check with their own insurance companies for all related travel cover including flights and any additional accommodation outside of your Into the Blue – Boat Rental tour. We will continue to monitor this changing situation and we will follow the advice issued by national and international bodies. If there are any major changes, we will let you know.
